Prayer Letter 24/05/11

24/05/11

Hi all,

Since our last email a lot has changed and it feels like God is shifting gear and propelling us forward into this venture. In the last email we shared how we were finding it hard to contact the South African Embassy in London and so were planning to fly out in person to get the info we needed of them. As we were about to book flights to London we felt prompted to try one last search for a closer embassy and we then managed to find the contact details to the Embassy in Dublin. The first time we tried to phone them we got an answer and they couldn’t have been more helpful. So thankyou for all your prayers as this was trully a huge breakthrough.

It has felt like over the last week or so that we have gone from walking towards the move to Zanethemba to running. We are getting closer and closer to setting the date for the move. the visa application is coming on in leaps and bounds, we are about to put our house up for rent, and we are getting ready to provide more information to more people. With just over 4 months to go before we move we are getting more and more excited, and as we draw closer and closer God continues to show us that this is the right time for our family to step further into His calling for us. We dream with God not only of Zanethemba but further down the road of setting up more “Zanethembas” to care for more children, for teams to go onto the streets to provide love and care for street children and to ultimately get them off the streets.Dreams of providing love, care and support in communities to stem the flow of children onto the streets and rubbish dumps because they seem to provide a “better” life. We dream of a generation of children falling in love with God, their perfect Father.

We’re excited to get to Zanethemba, to learn from God, to be novices, to receive & then pour out his love, but the one thing we know above all else is that without Him we can do nothing. He is our source, comfort, guide, everything.

As we step into this new chapter of life thank you for standing with us in prayer.

At this time could you please pray:

  • Protection from the enemy for all four of us: As Kate and I push into further freedom with God and God’s plan for our life we are experiencing more attack.
  • Healing for Kate from diabetes (this would be very useful in the move!)
  • God’s Kingdom resource for this venture.
  • Our family time/prioritising our time correctly as we prepare to leave N.Ireland.
  • Comfort for our families as we prepare to leave
  • For God’s words and vision to share with people
  • That intimacy with Jesus would always be our focus and vision.
  • That God would give us favour with the South Africa visa authorities.
  • That the one outstanding Police Checks would arrive quickly.

Thank you for your time and prayers

Richie, Kate, Joseph and Reuben

If we know you and you would like to recieve Prayer Letters to your email address please email us at randkcathcart@gmail.com . Once we are working in Zanethemba the emails will be more specific than what we post on the blog due to child protection issues.
